COWI Baltic has acquired a 100 % stake in Lithuanian-capital company Ekostrategija for an unannounced sum.

So far Ekostrategija has specialised in consultations in the fields of energy and environmental protection related to reduction of CO2 emissions.

Following the acquisition, COWI Baltic intends to start providing consultations on the trade in pollution permits, offer new consulting services to industrial companies.

The company plans to focus on Baltic, Polish and Hungarian markets.

Last year, the annual turnover of Ekostrategija was LTL 2 mln. The turnover of COWI Baltic in the field of energy and environmental protection planning was LTL 1.2 mln, while the total turnover of COWI Baltic in 2006 reached LTL 7.2 mln.
